1886 - The Alumni Association is formed to keep alumni informed about their Alma Mater

1887 - The Alumni Association holds its first Annual Meeting

1912 - The Alumni Association begins forming regional chapters throughout the country

1925 - Alumnus magazine is published

1939 - Alumni Association President named to Board of Regents by Utah Legislature

1942 - The Emeritus Alumni Association begins planning reunions

1958 - The Distinguished Alumni Awards program is established

1967 - The University Review is published for the first time

1968 - The Honorary Alumnus Awards program is established

1980 - The Alumni House opens on campus

1980 - The Young Alumni Association is formed

1982 - Young Alumni Par Excellence Award program is established

1987 - The Student Alumni Association begins programming

1990 - The Alumni Association starts a dues membership program

1991 - The first issue of Continuum magazine is published

1992 - Alumni Association begins marketing U of U license plates

1994 - Alumni Association distributes more than $20,000 in scholarships

2000 - More than 190,000 alumni of record

1996-2000 - More than $200,000 in scholarships awarded by the Association
